Advisor Nick Scheibel was drawn to JNBA Financial Advisors because of its collaborative, team-based culture and unwavering fiduciary responsibility, but it was the firm’s genuine commitment to giving back to its community that really caught his attention. Nick spent a decade focusing on charitable giving with The Minneapolis Foundation, first as a Fund Administrator and Donor Services Associate, then as Philanthropic Advisor, where he helped business owners and entrepreneurs achieve their philanthropic goals. He also worked closely with professional advisors – attorneys, accountants, and financial planners – to help them incorporate philanthropic planning into their practices.
More recently, Nick spent four years as Vice President, Private Wealth Advisor with U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management. He is a graduate of Macalester College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
When not at work, Nick and his wife live in South Minneapolis and enjoy cooking, camping, and traveling. After volunteering for eight years with Open Arms of Minnesota, he joined the organization’s board in 2019. He also serves on the board of Exodus Lending, a small nonprofit that helps Minnesota families break the cycle of payday loan debt.
