At JNBA, we operate on a non-commission, fee-only basis, not because it’s the trendy thing to do, but because it’s the right thing to do. Our goal is to make our fee structure as transparent as possible, so please don’t hesitate to ask us any questions. We love to talk details.
- How does JNBA charge for its services?
When you work with JNBA, we primarily charge a fee that is based on a percentage of your assets under our management (our “AUM Fee”). JNBA’s financial advisory services include discretionary investment management as well as financial life planning services for individuals, trusts, and estates. The percentage we charge you as a client decreases as your assets under our management increase.
- Is there a minimum fee JNBA requires clients to pay?
Typically, we require a minimum annualized fee of $5,000, which equates to a minimum asset level of $400,000. That being said, there are situations where we will waive our minimum fee.
- How does JNBA make money?
At JNBA, we only make money based on the fees clients pay us for our services. We do not make any commissions or collect referral fees from other professionals. We do not sell any investment products, nor do we limit the scope of our investment management services to proprietary products or a limited group or type of investment. It is not our practice to charge by the hour, so we are never “on the clock” when working with our clients.
