Barron’s Top 100 Independent Advisor: CEO Richard Brown and JNBA named to national list.

Cärin Viertel, Director of Client Services

Barron’s has named JNBA Financial Advisors’ CEO Richard S. Brown on its list of Top 100 Independent Advisors in the country. This is the ninth consecutive year that JNBA and CEO Richard S. Brown have been named to the list into the top 100 with a ranking of 45th in the nation.

This is an extra special honor, as this December JNBA will enter its 45th year of guiding people through life’s most important decisions with highly customized financial life planning and investment strategies. Since our founding days, we have prioritized and embraced the power of a fiduciary model as it allows us to put our client’s interests first each and every day. With this independence has come the freedom to shape our advice driven by advocacy® approach, which we believe has allowed us the honor of serving individuals, families, and organizations for decades, contributing to our 97% client retention rate since we began tracking in 2001.

The Barron’s ranking reflects the quality of the advisors’ practices and compliance records, the volume of assets overseen by the advisors and their teams, and revenue generated for the firms.

Thank you to our entire team for your passion, commitment, and amazing work, and to our clients for putting your trust in JNBA.

*As seen in the 8/24/15, 8/29/16, 9/18/17, 9/17/18, 9/16/19, 9/14/20, 9/20/21, 9/19/22, & 9/18/23 issues of Barron‘s magazine. Barron‘s is a trademark of Dow Jones & Company, Inc. All Rights Reserved. The Top 1200 is a collection of 51 individual rankings, with advisors in each state compared against peers in that state (as opposed to national comparisons). The number of ranking spots (24) for Minnesota corresponds to the state’s relative population and wealth. Each state is given no less than six award slots. Advisors who wish to be ranked fill out a 102-question survey about their practice. Barron’s then verifies that data with the advisors’ firms and with regulatory databases and then applies its rankings formula to the data to generate a ranking. Barron’s listings are based on data compiled by many of the nation’s most productive advisors, which is then submitted to and judged by Barron’s. Please Note: Limitations: Neither rankings and/or recognitions by unaffiliated rating services, publications, media, or other organizations, nor the achievement of any professional designation, certification, degree, or license, membership in any professional organization, or any amount of prior experience or success, should be construed by a client or prospective client as a guarantee that he/she will experience a certain level of results if JNBA is engaged, or continues to be engaged, to provide investment advisory services. Rankings published by magazines, and others, generally base their selections exclusively on information prepared and/or submitted by the recognized adviser. Rankings are generally limited to participating advisers (see link as to participation criteria/methodology, to the extent applicable). Unless expressly indicated to the contrary, JNBA did not pay a fee to be included on any such ranking. No ranking or recognition should be construed as a current or past endorsement of JNBA by any of its clients. ANY QUESTIONS: JNBA’s Chief Compliance Officer remains available to address any questions regarding rankings and/or recognitions, including the criteria used for any reflected ranking.
