I hope you and your families are doing well and looking forward to the holiday season.
As we begin to prepare for all the holiday festivities ahead, one thing comes to mind – the importance of our communities. This has no doubt been a challenging year. I think many of us feel overwhelmed with uncertainty caused by many things including devastating hurricanes, high inflation and increasing interest rates, the war in Ukraine, and of course market volatility and unpredictability, to name just a few.
For me during those times of uncertainty it helps to surround myself with my community. Those people that lift me up. Strong communities matter because they offer us a source of social connection and a sense of belonging. Participating in a community bonded by attitudes, values, and goals is an essential ingredient to enjoying a fulfilling life. We have built that kind of community at JNBA.
We are laser focused on working to create stronger communities within our firm and also, on a larger scale, within the communities that surround us. Our team is stronger together, and we have been supporting one another with some really meaningful and fun activities.
We participated in the JNBA Fitness Challenge, we celebrated being named a Best Places to Work, we’ve had numerous Coffee Cart mornings sharing great conversations and ideas over lattes and cappuccino.
And we took that focus beyond ourselves, giving back joyfully and together in our local community through the JNBA Food Drive, Salvation Army, Feed My Starving Children, and Gifts for Seniors.
We all do our best to navigate tougher times, and in those times we remain thankful for the people that make us stronger, better, and happier.
