For the second year in a row, Barron’s has ranked JNBA Financial Advisors CEO Richard S. Brown the top financial advisor in Minnesota.
While JNBA and Richard have taken the top spot on Barron’s Minnesota list a total of four times — in 2014, 2018, 2021, and 2022 — this is the first time he has received back-to-back top-advisor nods.
This is a milestone our entire team helped achieve. We also couldn’t be more proud to represent independent firms, particularly during the pandemic.

Richard and JNBA have been named to Barron’s list of the 1,200 top advisors in the country for 13 consecutive years. According to Barron’s, the rankings are based on assets under management, revenues generated by advisors for their firms, and the quality of the advisors’ practices.
