As a Senior Advisor, Nick works with clients to develop custom financial life plans to help them achieve their short- and long-term goals. He is a member of the JNBA Financial Planning Committee and enjoys collaborating with his colleagues to develop tools and strategies that can be used across the firm.
“Being an advocate means proactively looking for creative financial planning solutions for clients. In addition to being responsive to client needs, it’s important to work on expanding my own knowledge so I can help identify planning opportunities clients may not have considered.”
Prior to joining JNBA, Nick served as a vice president and private wealth advisor at U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management. Before working at U.S. Bank, he spent 10 years focused on charitable giving with The Minneapolis Foundation, first as a fund administrator and donor services associate, then as a philanthropic advisor. In that role, he worked with business owners and entrepreneurs as well as attorneys, accountants, and financial planners to help incorporate philanthropic planning into their practices.
Nick has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota and is a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional.
Nick enjoys being involved in his community. He has previously served on the board of Exodus Lending, and is a current board member of Open Arms of Minnesota.
When not at work, Nick and his wife enjoy cooking, camping, and traveling.
