Laura Haupt joined JNBA Financial Advisors in May 2026 as a Financial Planning Specialist, bringing over a decade of financial planning expertise to the team. In her role, Laura leads JNBA’s Financial Planning Committee and helps strengthen the firm’s planning capabilities by developing firm-wide strategies and best practices. This work allows our Advisory Team to customize financial planning strategies for clients’ unique goals and needs. With her previous advisor experience, Laura brings valuable insight to the development of educational content used to communicate key financial planning concepts.
“Advocacy means going above and beyond to support clients in every situation. It starts with building trusted relationships where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. As an inspiring guide, an advocate helps clients move forward with confidence and take meaningful steps toward their life goals.”
A graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) financial planning program, Laura earned a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designation shortly after college. Because of JNBA’s close partnership with UMD, Laura learned about the firm when JNBA Chairman and CEO Richard S. Brown visited her class as a guest presenter. She was impressed by the firm’s client-focused fiduciary values, which align with her own passion for helping people. Laura is also a Global Financial Planning fellow.
Originally from Park Falls, Wisconsin, Laura now lives in Golden Valley with her husband, Eric, and their two rescue dogs, Zane and Finley. Outside of work, she enjoys travel, skiing, and exploring Minnesota’s state parks. She and her husband are also dedicated volunteers with a local dog rescue organization, where they have fostered more than 70 dogs over the years.
