Barron’s Names JNBA Financial Advisors CEO, Richard S. Brown, a Top 100 Independent Financial Advisor for 10th Consecutive Year

Cärin Viertel, Director of Client Services

As we celebrate JNBA’s 45th year in business, we are excited to share that for the tenth year in a row, Barron’s has named CEO Richard S. Brown and JNBA to its list of the top 100 independent advisors in the country, ranking 32nd overall and moving up from the 45th spot last year.

Additionally, in March 2024, Richard and JNBA Financial Advisors were named to Barron’s list of the Top 1,200 Financial Advisors in the country for the 15th consecutive year (prior to 2014 the list was titled “Top 1,000 Financial Advisors”).

“The loyalty and trust of our valued clients inspires us to do our best every day,” said JNBA CEO and Chairman Richard S. Brown. “Since our founding days, we have considered it an honor and privilege to help people achieve their financial goals. We’ve been at it for 45 years, and as we celebrate this milestone and journey ahead as an independent fiduciary, we carry a deep sense of gratitude for all the clients – past and present – who have called on us to help guide them through life’s most important financial decisions.”

According to Barron’s, the rankings are based on the volume of assets overseen by the advisors and their teams, revenues generated for the firms, and the quality of the advisors’ practices. The rankings can be found in the September 16, 2024 issue of Barron’s Magazine and on Barrons.com.

JNBA’s dedication to being an advocate for its clients, employees, and community has fueled our continued growth, including opening offices in Duluth, Minn., and Bonita Springs, Fla. With $1.5 billion in assets under management today, our fiduciary firm has posted a more-than-97-percent client retention rate since tracking began in 2001.
