Negotiating can be stressful and high-stakes – showing up to a conversation poorly prepared isn’t going to help matters. Rather, knowledge is power. Take time to research every aspect of the deal, know the data and facts backwards and forwards, and bring in a trusted colleague or partner to help ensure your research is sound. After all, you want to show up to the negotiation armed with as much information, questions and points as you possibly can.
